Mitra Sumara is a 16-legged psychedelic funk band that plays a repertoire of music from pre-revolutionary Iran -- Persian pop music of the 1960s and early '70s.

The group features Yvette Perez on vocals, Peter Zummo on trombone, Bill Ruyle on hammer dulcimer, Julian Maile on guitar, Jim Duffy on keyboard, Sam Kulik on bass, Michael Evans on percussion and Brian Geltner on drums.
